STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® World Championship 2023

The STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® World Championship 2023 in Stuttgart has come to an end, leaving us both exhausted and profoundly proud. We won't sugarcoat it; we're tired, but it's that satisfying exhaustion that comes from pouring all our energy into a project we're profoundly passionate about.

For several years we’ve been part of the TIMBERSPORTS® journey, creating unforgettable moments for the athletes and fans. We witnessed the sport and its competitions evolve over the years. However, this year was truly exceptional. Held in Stuttgart- the home town of STIHL, we wanted to step up the game, given the higher expectations- especially from the SITHL Family and the “Very Important” Guests. 😉

An idea was born...

CLUB '85 - The official Hospitality of SITHL TIMBERSPORTS®

So, a few months ago, an idea was born. Why not create a unique and exclusive experience for our "important guests"? After an intensive brainstorming session, we presented our idea to STIHL, and CLUB '85, the official Hospitality of STIHL TIMBERSPORTS®, was born. A brilliant idea, you might say, and we thought so too. But it also meant a lot more work than usual for us.

It was more than “just” managing the production, catering, accreditation, and sustainability of the event. We undertook the task of creating an entirely new brand. What does that mean? Well, in relatively short period, we brought a brand-new experience to life. This involved crafting a concept, defining its identity, developing a comprehensive communication strategy, designing every aspect from the ground up, and launching it seamlessly alongside the event.

No doubts...

It was worth it!

The tremendous energy, we poured into the project, was all worth it! Over the weekend, we welcomed around 1000 guests in CLUB '85, each of them the pioneers of CLUB ‘85. In many ways, they were our guinea pigs and we are thrilled with the positive we received. Our first launch was a great success, providing us with valuable lessons and insights for the events that lie ahead.

But the excitement doesn’t end there. Each day, 6,500 enthusiastic fans filled the arena, cheering for their favorite athletes. The place was filled with emotions – happiness, passion, and an unbreakable team spirit. Furthermore, all the supporters who couldn't attend in person joined us via the live stream - we counted a total of 2.6 million streams !!!

19 teams and 12 individual athletes competed for the title of world champion. In intense heats, they showed off their skills and proved their essence of team spirit. And again, the talented athletes from Australia claimed both the team and the individual titles.

Event of the Year Award

As part of the World Cup, the TIMBERSPORTS® World Cup was honoured as "Event Of The Year": The award is presented once a year to an outstanding event in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle or Porsche-Arena - this year for the first time to a sports event. So congratulations to STIHL TIMBERSPORTS®!!! This puts the World Cup in the same league as award winners such as Pink, Metallica, Fanta Vier and Elton John. We are proud and grateful to be part of this team. What an unforgettable event!!!

Our journey throughout the entire process was truly amazing. We didn't just create something new; we also grew closer as a team. With renewed energy and lessons learned, we are looking forward to upcoming events and the prospect of taking CLUB '85 to new heights.
